Abstract

This project is now part of project 0426: Immunity to African swine fever virus has been shown to be due to both serological and cellular immune responses. In order to define the viral epitopes recognised by these protective immune responses, expression libraries of virus infected cells will be screened with (1) sera from recovered pigs to define serological epitopes and (2) CD8 T-cells in order to define cytotoxic T- cell epitopes. Both arms of the immune response will be examined to recognise different viral proteins.
