Abstract
A standard protocol for the 3ABC MAb Trapping ELISA (MAT-ELISA) developed at IZSLER, Brescia, Italy and Pirbright, has been produced. The MAT-ELISA, using an anti-3A monoclonal trapping antibody (provided by IZSLER, Brescia), GST-3ABC antigen (Pirbright) and a commercial anti-species conjugate (DAKO) can be used to test bovine, porcine and ovine sera. The assay is currently being evaluated in laboratories in Thailand, Philippines, South Africa, Myanmar, Paraguay, Uruguay and Peru on porcine, bovine and ovine sera as part of an IAEA Co-ordinated Research Project.
