Abstract
Rinderpest virus, like all the morbilliviruses, produces two non- structural proteins (C&V) of unknown function. This project is aimed at elucidating the functions of these proteins by studying what other proteins they interact with. The yeast two-hybrid system is being used to investigate their binding with other cytoplasmic viral proteins; interactions that are discovered with this method will be confirmed by additional techniques. A cDNA library will be screened, where possible, to look for host cell proteins that may interact with C or V.
