Abstract
This project is a part of an EU-funded project aimed at identifying genes affecting resistance to Salmonella infection in chickens. The IAH component of this project is to isolate and identify the SAL1 resistance gene which we had previously identified, and to apply the same genetic mapping approach to the identification of further genes affecting resistance to colonisation of the chicken gut by Salmonella.
