Abstract

Previous risk perception research has not been predictive, but rather descriptive and has not taken account of the social context in which the risk is embedded, as well as accounting for perceived differences in hazard characteristics. The influence of many different predictors need to be investigated in the same model. LISREL finally provides the technique which can be used to address this key area of risk perception.
