Abstract

Memory in humans persists for decades. Among CD8 T cells, a subset of so called CD45 revertant memory cells has been shown to be non-cycling, to have long telomeres and be resistant to apoptosis. In this project we shall study the role of cytokines and T cell co-stimulation in the generation of this population and will seek to identify a corresponding CD4 revertant memory population.
