Abstract

The creation of a corporate Information system that is to enable the features of Research Costing to be married with the expenditure profile of the Institute and with the project management profile in order to investigate and to encapsulate the Institutes staffing, funding and resourcing profile. The system is also to allow for the alteration of fact in order to simulate the dynamics of a changed organisational structure. As a spin off, the system is to manage the actual data and to produce all the appropriate reports and tables necessary for the efficient management of the grant finances and the resource costings, along with better dynamics of personnel and other corporate information. A number of deadlines have been set (I) RCOST replacement system - basic data management 31/3/96 (ii) full EIS due June 1996 (iii) student record system, Jan 96 (iv) replacement personnel system May 96 (v) replacement OASI mechanism July 96. Complete reports as required by B Proctor; extract PU/RO and grant data into input for OASI revision; Proposal: determine OASI replacement and generate multi-user interface for OASI input; create export of new OASI into OASIS.
