Abstract
The ability of structurally different agonists to couple cloned vertebrate adrenoceptors to different second messenger systems is being examined. This projects aims to understand how this process works in order to enable the development of medicines which only activate the pathway that is required. It will also increase our basic knowledge of how cells in nervous systems 'talk' to each other.
