Abstract

Therapies for inflammatory diseases and for the prevention of transplant rejection aim to suppress the immune response. TGF beta plays an important role in the suppression and regulation of immunity in the normal healthy individual. This study aims to reveal, at a molecular level, how it does so. A better understanding of TGF beta signalling in lymphocytes could identify molecular targets for drug intervention.
