Abstract
Small GTPases are intracellular signalling molecules that control many aspects of cell function and behaviour. A newly discovered protein of this type has been found to underlie changes to white blood cell populations seen in an important animal model of juvenile diabetes. We want to understand what this protein and similar proteins do.
