Abstract

Integrin alpha E beta 7 is a cell adhesion molecule that has a central role in the mucosal immune system, in immunoregulation and in rejection of organ allografts, including kidney transplants. Our work seeks to reveal how cells of the immune system regulate the adhesive capacity of this molecule. This information will help the design of novel anti-inflammatory drugs.
