Abstract

This proposal aims to exploit advances in E-science technology to develop a novel integrated strategy for E-support of microarray analysis. Microarray analysis techniques are an exemplar for the new high-throughput methodologies. The objective is to use E-science technology to provide robust secure links between the users of the system, who will be distributed across multiple Imperial campuses and both the Bioinformatics Support Service (South Kensington) and the MRC Microarray Centre (Hammersmith). A portal will be developed that will provide integrated user-friendly access to: microarray analysis software; access to robust databases for storage of results; E-science enabled access to remote support for end users using this technology.
