Abstract
The aim of this project is to develop and implement a scalable Grid-based pipeline for the automated analysis of human proteomic MS data from disparate locations. Peptides identified by this pipeline will be automatically collated at regular intervals into a catalogue of observed peptides, which will be made publicly available for the benefit of everyone working in proteomics and related fields. Such a system is essential if maximum benefit is to be derived from the expected investments in high throughput proteomics. Once the pipeline is up and running, two small studies will be carried out to demonstrate its scientific value.
