Abstract

The project will establish a coordinated machine-learning approach to integrating datasets across the range of IGERs research into sustainable land management. Appropriate hardware and software will be evaluated and commissioned. A training framework will be developed for providers of datasets to exploit enhanced bioinformatics resources. Software and data-mining approaches will be applied to selected separate but biologically interrelated datasets to identify emergent properties and higher-order factors within the complexity of the overall system. Machine-learning approaches for high-performance computing (local cluster, Grid) will be made available. IGERs informatics strategy will be coordinated with those of other organisations.
