Abstract

We propose to build on the previous two BBSRC-funded UK CropNet programmes to generate new, advanced and integrated versions of the Arabidopsis Genome Resource (AGR) and BrassicaDB databases, that will be internationally competitive resources for plant genome research and crop improvement. These large datasets will be ported from ACEDB to a relational database management system, new web interfaces designed, and generic software methods developed for comparative genome analysis. These databases and associated tools will be registered as services in a confederated framework such as the BioMOBY integration system.
