Abstract
The aim of this project is to produce a surface modified bandage contact lens for the culture and delivery of human corneal epithelial cells under serum free conditions for treating blinding ocular surface diseases. The technology will be demonstrated using an in-vitro organ culture model. In parallel, we will establish a regulatory pathway for approval for clinical use in humans.
