Abstract

The proposed division of roles within this research plan is therefore as follows: Lorantis will produce research-level quantities of the recombinant Notch ligands Delta-3, -4 and Jagged-1 and -2 and will generate additional microarray data sets using these ligands. Lorantis will use its RNAi expertise to generate siRNA sequences for novel gene sequences identified by these screens. siRNAs and cDNAs for novel genes will be passed to the Turner group by Lorantis for retroviral transduction of primary cells and subsequent functional analysis. Gene targeting expertise for those genes deemed suitably interesting will be provided by the Turner laboratory.
