Abstract
1) To characterise the putative Arabidopsis vacuolar cation/H+ antiporters CAX5 and CAX6, and to further analyse the in planta function of CAX2. 2) To analyse the topology and molecular interactions of the plant cation/H+ antiporters. 3) To identify novel components in manganese transport and homeostasis by genetic screening.
