Abstract

The aims of this project are i) to address how internal ribosome entry sites (IRESes) are regulated during developmental apoptosis using the Drosophila genetic system; ii) to investigate the RNA structures and IRES-trans-acting factors (ITAFs) that allow the co-ordinate translational regulation following apoptotic stimuli; iii) to determine how iTAFs are regulated during apoptosis.
