Abstract

This proposal seeks funding to continue the collaborative computing project for the NMR community (CCPN), similar to that provided by CCP4 for the X-ray crystallographers. The project has three main aims: i) to work with the RCSB, the BioMagResBank (BMRB) and other NMR groups to define a data model for NMR (and associated tools) that will facilitate exchange of data between the different NMR software packages; ii) to develop a new, platform independent, processing and analysis software package (CCPNMR) that, in conjunction with e.g. ARIA, automatically collates and generates the data needed for deposition at both the BMRB (NMR data) and the PDB (structures); and iii) to organise courses, meetings and workshops on macromolecular NMR and thereby provide a forum for discussion of computational and experimental techniques for the UK NMR community.
