Abstract
The objective of this proposal is to examine the structure of amyloid fibrils using X-ray fibre diffraction and cryo-electron microscopy. Knowledge of the structure of amyloid fibrils is essential for both the rational design of therapeutics to combat these devastating diseases and for understanding of the process of protein misfolding and aggregation.
