Abstract
The aims of this project are: (1) to determine the structure of p19 using heteronuclear NMR spectroscopy. (2) to study the interactions of p19 with intact cyclin D1 and CDK4. (3) to attempt to express and purify smaller active fragments of cyclin D1 and CDK4, for studies of their structure and interactions using NMR spectroscopy. (4) to use this information in an attempt to design small drug molecules that inhibit cyclin D1/CDK4.
