Abstract
The aim of the work is to synthesise a number of novel peptide like compounds which contain an amine oxide that is intra-molecularly hydrogen bonded to one or more hydrogen bond donors. The strong intramolecular hydrogen bond will control the conformation of the molecule allowing for the design of conformationally restricted peptide like molecules.
