Abstract

The specificity of the SfiI restriction enzyme for its recognition sequence on DNA, GGCCNNNN/NGGCC, will be analysed by DNA cleavage and DNA binding studies, using a range of plasmid and oligonucleotide substrates that include variations in both the sequence and length of the 5 bp spacer within the recognition site.
