Abstract

To improve methods for protein modelling and drug design. To continue structure determination using X-ray crystallography focused on studying the structural basis of specificity for polymers and ligands. To expand studies on the thionin family of seed proteins, using 2D-NMR and explore their biological functions as toxins. To engineer new proteins with novel activities for use as therapeutic agents.
