Abstract

Novel amino acids containing photoactivable moieties will be incorporated into peptide ligands and the NK-2 receptor in order to: (i) identify side chains/residues in the ligand and in the receptor apposition; (ii) investigate the orientation and conformation of the bound ligand; (iii) analyse helix-helix and receptor-G-protein contact regions. These studies will be carried out in addition to the analysis of the binding characteristics of mutant receptors.
