Abstract
i) to determine the mechanism of the type II dehydroquinases on the shikimate and quinate pathways. ii) to use 13C NMR spectroscopy to characterise enzyme bound intermediates on type I and type II dehydroquinases. iii) to probe the reactions of irreversible inhibitors of type I dehydroquinase.
